Teal Wicks is known for her roles on Broadway as Elphaba in various productions of Wicked and as Mary Barrie in Finding Neverland. She also starred in the Broadway revival of Jekyll & Hyde as Emma and as one of the Cher’s of The Cher Show.
Wicks was initially cast as the standby for Elphaba in the Los Angeles production of Wicked before taking over the lead role. Wicks made her Broadway debut in Wicked in the role of Elphaba. Her next show was the Broadway revival of Jekyll & Hyde. Wicks then played Mary Barrie in Finding Neverland from its premiere until its closing.
Wicks performed in the lead role of Catherine for the National Tour of Pippin, a role that she also reprised at the Goodspeed Opera House.
Off-Broadway credits: The Blue Flower, Stairway to Paradise and Piece Of My Heart: The Bert Berns Story. She originated the role of Jo in the musical The Ballad of Little Jo. Teal received a nomination for a Connecticut Circle Award for her portrayal of Julie Jordan in the Goodspeed Opera House’s production of Carousel.
