Classes and Preparation


Acting

Theatre, television, or film. This class focuses on strong acting technique for monologues and scene work, designed to guide you through "breaking down" a piece moment-by-moment. For sides/ scenes, your artist will be your scene partner.  You’ll learn critical skills to interpret, perform, and individualize your material, whether it’s for upcoming auditions, role preparation, or general repertoire building.

  • PREPARE:  A monologue or a scene of your choice, 1-3 minutes in length. 


Life Coaching

This class is used to focus on guiding you toward your specific goal path -- whether you already have an established career or are brand new to the arts. Get feedback on a certain project, hone a specific skillset, ask industry questions, or simply use the artist’s guidance to steer you to your next goal. This class is designed for you to get specific information catered to your individual circumstances and have your questions answered by an experienced professional..

  • PREPARE:  A thorough list of questions based on your circumstances in order to accomplish the most successful and informative dialogue possible.


Voice Impressions

Combining in-depth vocal & acting training with keen ear & imitation techniques, this class is designed to guide you through the incredible process of mastering character voices. From pitch association to body language, you’ll learn how to properly emulate your characters, whether you are studying a particular celebrity, preparing for a distinctive role, or developing your own new character.

  • PREPARE: All materials and background on the character, role, or voice you want to work on.


Guitar

This class is designed to guide you through improving your acoustic or electric guitar skills. Levels vary from beginner to advanced. Beginner focuses include: finger placement, strumming, sight-reading, understanding groove and chord placement, chord progressions, picking, and other essential tools. Advanced focuses include: scale sequencing, sweep picking, riffs, intervals, and more. Each class is tailored to your specific skill level.

  • PREPARE: Have your acoustic or electric guitar ready.


Makeup

In this class, you’ll work with your artist to practice cosmetic application. Makeup focuses vary artist to artist and include: everyday wear, special occasions, high fashion, print & digital photography, on-camera, theatre, and drag makeup. Demonstration focuses include: face shapes and skin tones, color theory, contour, lashes, application styles, and cosmetic trends. Each class is tailored to your specific needs. All ages, sizes, skin tones, ethnicities, genders, and backgrounds.

  • PREPARE:  Please come barefaced, clean and moisturized. Position yourself with good lighting. Provide a list of products you have at home, and upload a picture of yourself for reference.


Musical Theatre

This class combines in-depth vocal training with acting technique, designed to guide you through an equal mix of successfully interpreting a musical theatre song -- from the vocal lines to the lyrics. You’ll learn critical skills to interpret, perform, and individualize your material, whether it’s for upcoming auditions, role preparation, or general repertoire building.

  • PREPARE:  1-2 songs of your choice. Choose a 30-45 second cut of each, but know the full piece just in case. Lead with your first choice, as you may only be able to perform one selection. Make sure you have an accompaniment track ready (no a cappella, please)


Piano

This class is designed to guide you through improving your piano or keyboard skills. Levels vary from beginner to advanced. Beginner focuses include: notes, rhythms, scales, chords, and other essential tools. Advanced focuses include: extended chords, major, minor, dominant, open and closed chord voicings, chord progressions, scales, and more. Each class is tailored to your specific skill level.

  • PREPARE:  Have your piano or keyboard ready.


Pop/ Rock

This class focuses on pop/rock material, designed to guide you through discovering a 'style' that makes you unique, and to also help you perform with the highest level of authenticity. This class is helpful if you’re an existing pop/rock singer, OR if you’re a musical theatre performer who wants to learn how to successfully perform the pop/rock style.

  • PREPARE:  1-2 songs of your choice. Choose a 30-45 second cut of each, but know the full piece just in case. Lead with your first choice, as you may only be able to perform one selection. Make sure you have an accompaniment track ready (no a cappella, please).


Self-Tape Prep

This class is designed to guide you through improving your self-tape skills. All genres of performance. Topics include: at-home set up, self-taping while traveling, equipment suggestions, tips and tricks, finding the right light, shooting and editing your material, and more. This class is helpful if you want to improve your overall self-tape skills or if you are preparing for a specific audition.  

  • PREPARE: Set up your device to the best self-tape arrangement you currently have available. Provide a list of your at-home equipment. If preparing for a specific audition, have all audition materials ready.


Social Media/ Online Branding

 This class will help you utilize powerful tools to elevate your brand’s online presence – whether personal, professional or business. You’ll learn how to create a consistent identity that best represents you, as well as apply critical skills to successfully promote your brand. 

  • PREPARE: A list of your social media handle(s), and the aspects of branding you would like to focus on. 


Songwriting

This flexible class offers insight and advice for songwriters of any level – whether you’re an experienced songwriter who needs help breaking through writer’s block, or a new songwriter looking for tips and tricks. You’ll work in-depth on format, strategy, style, and voice, as well as learn and form strong songwriting habits. You may also present your original material and receive feedback/ direction.

  • PREPARE:  A list of 5-10 songs by artists you like that you feel define the “vibe” you would like to create with your song(s). Prepare a thorough list of questions you may have about the songwriting process. You may explore chord structure and melody/ style. If you want feedback on an original song, have a track ready or be prepared to perform it with your instrument, and provide a copy of the lyrics.
