BIO

Max Clayton is one of the premier chorus boys of Broadway, having been in six going on seven Broadway shows. After graduating with a BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Cincinnati-Conservatory of Music (CCM) in 2014, Clayton made his Broadway debut in On the Town in the ensemble and understudying Tony Yazbek in the role of Gabey. Shortly thereafter he joined the Broadway Revival cast of Gigi (Ensemble/Gaston understudy), starring Corey Cott and Vanessa Hudgens, followed by Something Rotten! (Ensemble/Will Power Backup Boy). He then joined the Broadway Revival of Hello Dolly! (Ensemble). After participating in the Pre-Broadway World Premiere production at Paper Mill Playhouse, Clayton was a part of the Original Broadway Cast of Bandstand (Ensemble/Donny Novitzki understudy). He can be heard on the Original Broadway Cast Recording, and seen in the filming The Boys Are Back - Bandstand: The Broadway Musical. Most recently he joined to Broadway cast of Pretty Woman (Swing).

Regionally, Clayton has starred in West Side Story as Riff at the Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA. He was also a part of the Pre-Broadway World Premiere production of Anastasia at Hartford Stage. In New York City he has played Don in A Chorus Line at the Annual New York City Gala. Clayton was a part of the World Premiere of Moulin Rouge! (Ensemble) in Boston, and will be a part of the Broadway production.
