Karine Hannah’s voice hits hard. The Montreal-born and New York-based singer can deliver an overpoweringly emotional ballad just as seamlessly as she can sing just about anything.
Her credits include: 2 top 10 billboard pop hits, many performances at Joe’s Pub, 54 Below, City Winery in NYC and promo tours from 2015-2019 across North America.
When she was 16, her performance on a Canadian television show caught the eye of Celine Dion. Celine went on to ask Karine to perform at her wedding. “That was really the start,” she recalls. “It was such an incredible moment, and I was driven to pursue this endlessly to fulfill my dreams as a world class singer.
Within weeks of relocating to the Big Apple, Karine linked up with Jim Steinman [Meat Loaf, “Bat Out Of Hell”) and began recording music and collaborating with him. For the next few years, nearly every major label courted her, but she didn’t find a home until Cash Money Records/Republic Records/Universal music co-founders Ronald “Slim” Williams and Bryan “Baby” Williams heard a recording from her and signed her. She was their one and only signed pop artist.
“I grew up with 4 sides of music...French, Canadian, American and Euro,” she says. “I want people to feel something massive in their soul after listening to my me interpret a song, whether it’s an original or a cover tune,” I sing from the soul, and I hope it reaches listeners.”
