BIO

Josh Grisetti is an actor, director, author and educator. Josh originated the role of “Marty Kaufman” in IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU on Broadway (for which he won the 2015 Clarence Derwent Award and was nominated for the Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards); he also starred in SOMETHING ROTTEN! on Broadway and the 1st National Tour, as well as the Broadway revival of Neil Simon’s BROADWAY BOUND. Off-Broadway, Josh starred in RENT, PETER & THE STARCATCHER, ENTER LAUGHING (Theatre World Award winner; Drama Desk, OCC,Drama League and Lucille Lortel nominations), RED EYE OF LOVE, CANDIDA and Noel Coward's AFTER THE BALL. Favorite regional credits include PRINCE OF BROADWAY (Tokyo), CAMELOT (The Kennedy Center), MATILDA (The Muny), HOW TO SUCCEED... (Reprise Theatre – Ovation & Garland Award winner), BEAUTY & THEBEAST (LaMirada), FUNNY THING...FORUM (Williamstown), SPAMALOT (Las Vegas), GREASE! (Sacramento Music Circus), WHERE'S CHARLEY? (Goodspeed) and others.

On television, Josh starred in the ABC sitcom THE KNIGHTS OF PROSPERITY, as well as multiple series regular roles in pilots for other networks; he has also appeared on Showtime’s NURSE JACKIE, MTV’s MADE, and others. Major film credits include THE IMMIGRANT, MEN IN BLACK 3, REVOLUTIONARY ROAD, THE NAMESAKE and others. Josh is directing the regional premier of SOMETHING ROTTEN! at Musical Theatre West in Long Beach, CA. He also authored the book, God In My Head (Tantor Media, LLC), which frequently tops Amazon.com’s best seller list in “Spirituality and Religious Psychology”.

Josh holds a Diploma in Drama from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, a BFA in Musical Theatrefrom the Boston Conservatory, and an MFA in Performance Pedagogy from LMU.
