Jonathan Freeman is the voice of the evil vizier, Jafar, in Disney's 1992 animated feature Aladdin, and has been seen in his celebrated role on Broadway. Other Disney on Broadway shows include Mary Poppins, The Little Mermaid, and Beauty & the Beast. He is the voice of Eli Pandarus/American Dragon, Vox/Lilo and Stitch, & Dr. Somnabulist/Teamo Supremo. Jonathan was Tony Award Nominated in 1992 for his turn in She Loves Me. Other Broadway credits include The Producers, 42nd Street, On The Town, How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, Platinum, and Sherlock Holmes with the RSC. Other NYC credits: Finian's Rainbow, A Class Act, and concerts for City Center Encores, and Carnegie Hall. Television appearances: “Shining Time Station”/ Tito Swing for six seasons on PBS, and Rollie Pruitt /“Remember Wenn” on AMC. Feature films include The Hoax directed by Lassee Hallstrom and The Ice Storm directed by Ang Lee. Coming soon to Disney+ Jonathan will be seen in the digital capture of the West End production of Aladdin from London’s Prince Edward Theatre.
