Jimmy Smagula made his Broadway debut at age 24 in the original Broadway company of "The Full Monty". Other Broadway: “Billy Elliot", "The Little Mermaid", "To Be or Not to Be", "Damn Yankees" (Encores) with Sean Hayes and Jane Krakowski, "The Phantom of the Opera", and "Man of La Mancha". He also starred as Jacey Squires in “The Music Man” with Norm Lewis, Jessie Mueller, and Rosie O’Donnell at The Kennedy Center.
Jimmy recently toured the U.S. as Thenardier in “Les Miserables” and as Ubaldo Piangi in "The Phantom of the Opera" playing San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago and other major cities. Regionally, Jimmy performed in “Children of Eden” at Papermill Playhouse and also sings on the recording. Other regional favorites include: the Beadle in “Sweeney Todd” at the Ahamanson Theater with Kelsey Grammer and Christine Baranski and at the Signature theater with Norm Lewis and "The Three Musketeers" with Aaron Tveit and Kate Baldwin at North Shore Music Theater. Television credits include: “Black Monday”, “Oh Jerome, No”, “Better Things”, "Brooklyn Nine Nine", "Bones", "Rizzoli and Isles", "Corporate", "Grey's Anatomy", "The Sopranos", "Parks and Recreation", “Jessie”, “Sam and Cat”, "Hot in Cleveland", "Law and Order", and many others. Film credits include: "Rebel in the Rye" opposite Nicholas Hoult, and in supporting roles in "The Island", "Step up 3" and "The Producers Movie Musical”.
