BIOGRAPHY
Ace Young is an American singer, songwriter, and actor. He gained national recognition while appearing on the fifth season of American Idol, making it to the Top Seven. After over four years in Los Angeles without a record deal, Young auditioned for American Idol in Denver, Colorado. He was featured on the subsequent annual American Idol Top 10 tour. Following his time on the show, Young has appeared on Half & Half, MTV's Total Request Live, Bones, and Rock of Love: Charm School.
Young made his Broadway debut as Kenickie in the revival of Grease. He later joined the national tour of Grease, this time playing Danny Zuko. Afterwards, Young took over the role of Berger in the Broadway revival of Hair. He has also starred as Joseph in the U.S. national tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat alongside Diana DeGarmo as the Narrator. Off-Broadway he starred in Hit Her With The Skates as Blake Conrad/Russ Reiner.
Young is also a songwriter, writing "Reason I Live" on the The Little Vampire soundtrack, singles "Addicted", “I Wanna Fall in Love Again”, and "Scattered" (Top 50 on the Hot Adult Contemporary Chart), and his self-titled album. He co-wrote Daughtry's debut single, "It's Not Over." The song was nominated for Best Rock Song at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards nominations. Young is also an activist, having a charity called "Highrollers With Heart", and is a Celebrity Ambassador for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
